The aim of this program is to provide students with in-depth theoretical knowledge along with practical experience in Aircraft maintenence. The course covers interdisciplinary technologies that are poised to leave their mark on many critical fields of application in the aviation world.
This course takes many different forms, but can generally be described as the foundation of aircraft maintenance.
The curriculum in an in this diploma program includes units in material science, aerodynamics and mechatronics systems line maintenance. Required courses for certification include mathematics, aerodynamics, the basics of aircraft handling and safety, documents and regulations, airframe, power plants and fuel and exhaust systems.
While there are undergraduate degrees and certificates available for aiframe and engines technicians, graduate and post-graduate degrees in this area are not commonly offered in these programs. The technicians who are interested in further education can go on to pursue engineering degrees.
